UK builder offers to pay stamp duty for first time buyers

David Wilson Homes said that the offer is open to first time buyers only and will run until the end of June 2012, which means that home buyers will need to reserve a new home by June 30 2012 to benefit from this deal.
Stamp duty is charged at a rate of 1% to home buyers on all properties costing between £125,000 and £250,000 meaning that David Wilson purchasers won't have to pay the additional £2,500 or more in stamp duty costs.
‘Many home buyers just missed out on the saving at the end of March, and we're extremely excited to be offering this exceptional deal to our first time buyers, which will save them thousands of pounds,’ said Philip Lacey, dales Director at David Wilson Homes.
He pointed out that as the properties concerned are brand new and purchased directly from the house builder, there will be no complications to delay the purchase.
